You fund the order, the vendor ships, you confirm receipt, and the coin releases. Dispute outcomes are visible on the vendor profile, and because Mars stays reachable you can actually open and follow a dispute when you need to.
Confirming receipt before the package arrives releases the coin and removes the dispute path. Never finalise early on an unproven vendor.
